History of the Clutch

Clutch Publishing is a graphic design and publishing company specializing in publishing, marketing, photography and graphic design. Clutch Publishing is owned by husband and wife Aaron and Chris Price. Chris, a Raleigh native has a BS degree from NC State University in Business Management and Marketing. Aaron is originally from Cheyenne, Wyoming and graduated from the Colorado Institute of Art and was honored in the top 10 in his class. In 2003, Chris started her first publishing company called Carolina Rewards which produced a quarterly high end direct mail magazine of the same name. In the early days of Carolina Rewards, Chris hired Aaron as the publication's primary graphic designer. Not only did they have a great working relationship and similar business goals, but eventually they also fell in love. Chris and Aaron were married in 2005 and their business continued to grow and succeed.

As the company grew, new opportunities for expansion arose. They incorporated another business, Headlight Design that focused only on graphic design services. In the fall of 2006, if two companies were not enough, they added another business that would focus on the production of Parade of Homes magazines, Clutch Publishing. All three businesses were doing very well, but in early 2007 the Prices' decided to streamline their businesses and ceased production of the quarterly publication Carolina Rewards.

The Prices have been successfully self employed for five years as publishers and thoroughly enjoy the work they have accomplished with Clutch Publishing. In the fall of 2007, their first Parade of Homes magazine was honored with the "Best Parade of Homes Magazine", by the NC Home Builders Association. Aaron and Chris continue to grow their graphic design business and truly enjoy being publishers and living their American Dream.
